Are there any free Sybase ASE 12.5x ODBC Drivers available, or does anyone have any experience with any paid ones? I'm looking for a fast and simple solution, but don't necessarily want to pay big bucks.

I am unable to view the procedure syntax using PB 6.5 against a Sql Anywhere 5.5.04 database using ODBC 3.51; I receive the message: 'The database does not currently support retrieval of procedure text'. Using the same database file, I can receive the procedure syntax when using PB 5.0.04 ( 16-bit ), or when using PB 7 beta. Also, the Design menu within the Database Administration painter for PB 6.5 does not have the entries for 'Table Security', 'Maintain Users' or 'Maintain Groups'. Hi! Question from a SQL Anywhere 5.5 - newbie : I'm having a big problem with SQL Anywhere 5.5 and an ODBC connection. I'm able to connect to my database via ODBC but I'm not able to get any write access to it, e.g. updating or inserting records and so on. When I'm trying to update/insert something, I get an 'authentification failure' .. This happens in Delphi 4, in Access I can link to the tables of my SQL Anywhere DB, but it seems to be read-only. Is it possible to connect to an SQL Anywhere database dynamically via ODBC without setting any DSN? SQL Anywhere 5.5.04 and 5.5.05
I have several queries, all of which involve outer joins, that produce different results when run against SQL Anywhere versions 5.5.05 Build #2787 and 5.5.04 Build #1867. I realize the outer join syntax is awkward and it does produce an error when run against version 7 of SQL Anywhere. However, I didn't expect different results within version 5 releases. I'm going to have the queries reconstructed, but I'm looking for an explanation on what happened between those two releases. I have scoured the documentation and release notes for .04, .05, and even the 7.0 documentation..

Does jConnect 5.5 work with SQL Anywhere 5.5.04? I was just wondering since the Installation Guide for jConnect 5.5 states that Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5.23 is required. If the two are incompatible, then what jConnect version will work with SQL Anywhere 5.5.04 and where can it be downloaded? Thank you. Problem connecting to SQL Anywhere 5.5.05 from PB10.5.1
Hi, I am having a problem connecting to SQL Anywhere 5.5.05 Build 2787 from PB 10.5.1 build 6602. This works fine from PB 10.2.1 but the same routine from PB 10.5.1 gives the following error. Does PB6.5 support SQL Anywhere 5.5.0.4 database interface, I don't see it when I try to create a database profile in PB6.5 ??. While I am a regular posted in teh ACCESS newsgroups, a new task at work has me stumped. My company used a product called 'Magic Help Desk' for it's help desk software. It used a SQL Anywhere 5.5 engine. We are now going to install a new system and I am tasked with migrating data to a MS SQL Server. Anyone have a good notion of where I can get an ODBC installation file for the SQL Anywhere 5.5 ODBC driver? I have all of the .dlls, but the Driver isn't registered in my ODBC settings in Control Panel. I assume I need a setup.exe file that will register the ODBC..

I am trying to connect to a SQL Anywhere database via VB.Net. The database was created by one of my clients. I am new to SQL Anywhere 5.5. Hello, I am trying to tie a whole bunch of legacy components together with a new reporting engine and I've come across an interesting problem. I have a W2k Web server that is connecting to an NT4.0 SQLAnywhere 5.5.0.5 database server via an ODBC dbclient connection. The web server is running classic ASP pages for the bulk of the web site, with a single ASP.net section for viewing reports.
