    • SiteSucker can be DANGEROUS!!!

I had to put my first download on 'pause' because the 'remaining' number kept getting higher and higher with no clue as to how long its growth would continue (When my computer was destroyed?)I have written to the seller--twice--but have not yet received any reply, so here's my final complaint.Whoops! There are instructions. I just found them. Too bad I didn't see them before I started doing my first download. I had to put it on 'pause' because I was becoming very concerned that it was leading to the burnout of my computer. Well, now I'll print a User Guide for myself. After studying it, I'll go back to my first project. My question now is whether there is some kind of preview of things to come, like : Do I have enough memory for the job, or how much storage is required, or how long the download will take. You know, things like that. I'll be restarring it when I learn how to use it in safety, safety for my computeer that is.
    • Interface needs improvements, but a MUST HAVE utility

As a citizen journalist and researcher, this tool is indispensible. Sometimes we enounter a treasure chest of PDFs, and this tool makes it remarkably fast to collect all of them. At other times, we want to save our own websites because hosting businesses may delete them. There is no match to SiteSucker - I promote it all the time on Twitter. I do with the tool was a bit more intuitive with respect to selecting which links to follow, nesting levels, and other advanced topics, but one step at a time. I am very thankful for the development of this tool, and reccomend this tool to all the people I work with.
    • Saved A Legacy

Use this software in hopes of saving a friend’s life work. A friend of mine had created an online classroom with different lessons pulling links from different storage sites and backups. This project would have been a complete nightmare had it not of been for SiteSucker. We even tried other resources and non could get past the password login screen. With site sucker there is actually a built in browser that allows you to load the site and login using your credentials and then site sucker can do it’s magic. The seller is extremely responsive and very helpful. When I was stuck trying to download the site and was getting errors in site sucker, Rich emailed me back what the issues were and on top of that, created a custom site sucker profile that I could use to download the site without errors. It’s very uncommon to find that level of communication and stellar customer service in this day and age.Thank you again Rich for such an amazing piece of software.
    • Timberwolf mountain map long dark. Does what it says

The new update works for me on Mountain Lion 10.8.2 without any of the issues other reviewers have posted.I'm actually quite grateful to the developer; I owned a previous version that did not allow downloads of any pages that required a login or registration (such as a bulletin board or forum, which can be quite helpful if you rely on the advice of forum members to fix British cars or French sailboats away from a wifi connection. ;) After a brief email requesting the feature, he replied that he was working on it, and would release it 'soon'.The latest version now allows forums to be downloaded to your local drive for offline viewing. I couldn't be happier.- Some features are buried a bit in the application, and aren't necessarily easy to understand without experimenting, but overall the app works quite well for me.
SiteSucker 2.11.10 MAS Mac OS X 4 MB.

SiteSucker is a Macintosh application that automatically downloads from Internet websites. It does so asynchronously copying web pages, images, PDF, style sheets and other site files on your local hard disk, doubling the directory structure of the site. Just enter a URL (Uniform Resource Locator), press return, and SiteSucker can download an entire website.

SiteSucker can be used to make local copies of websites. By default, SiteSucker “locates” the files you download, allowing you to browse a site offline, but can also download sites without modification.

You can save all the information about a download in a document. This lets you create a document that can be used to perform the same download whenever you want. If SiteSucker is in the middle of a download when you choose the Save command, SiteSucker pause the download and save its status with the document. When you open the document later, you can restart the download from where it stopped pressing the Resume button.
